Simple Dice Games
Below are some simple games that can be played with polyhedral dice.
For these games, the 10s-d10 is mostly not used. But if you want to include
it, use it like the other d10 (10 = 1, 20 = 2, etc.).
Even though the games involve capturing someone's dice, make sure and
return their dice once the game is over!
- Percentage - Use basic math to get as close as possible to
the percentage
- Capture - Capture your opponent's dice to add to your score
- Jewel Collector - Collect the most jewels (dice)!
Rolling Percentile Dice
The percentile dice are often made up of two die:
- d10 - the standard d10, with sides showing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 0
- 10s-d10 - the tens d10, or percentile die, with sides showing 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80,
90, and 00
These two dice can be used individually as d10s. Each number represents itself, or itself divided by 10.
For example, 1 or 10 equals 1. The odd side out is 0 and 00. These equal 10.
These two dice can also be used together as percentile dice. You roll both of the dice at the same
time
then, you take the numbers and add them together. For example, if you roll 20 and 5, the total is 25.
Where the percentile get tricky is what to do when a 0 or 00 shows up. If you think of all zeros equals
100, then everything else works fine:
- 00 & 1 = 1
- 10 & 0 = 10
- 00 & 5 = 5
- 50 & 0 = 50
- 00 & 0 = 100
